Questions we hear every week

Straight answers for owners who want clarity first.

If you are trying to figure out which program fits, how training works, what is included, or whether your dog is a good candidate, this is the place to start.

General

Start here if you are not sure what you need yet.

  • Send us your dog’s age, breed, biggest challenges, and where you are located. Tyler will tell you whether Puppy Training, In-Home Training, Stay & Train, or Online Courses makes the most sense.

  • In-Home work is local to Brownstown and surrounding Downriver communities. If you are farther out, Stay & Train or Online Courses may be the better fit depending on what you need.

  • Most messages get a response within one business day, often sooner when Tyler is between sessions.

Puppy Training

Early structure, routines, and the basics that matter most.

  • As early as 8 weeks. The earlier you start routines, boundaries, and social confidence, the easier it is to prevent problem behaviors from taking hold.

  • Most families start with either 5 or 7 sessions. Some puppies only need 3 sessions for early structure, while others benefit from the longer 10-session option for more follow-through as they grow.

In-Home Training

For dogs that need better behavior where life actually happens.

  • Yes. In-Home Training is as much about coaching you as it is about working with your dog. The goal is not for Tyler to be the only person who can get results in the house.

  • Leash pulling, overexcitement, door manners, place work, calmer household behavior, and obedience that needs to hold up in your real routines.

Stay & Train

Immersive daily structure for owners who want the heavy lifting handled.

  • Your dog stays with us for either 4 or 6 weeks, goes home with the e-collar they trained on, and you receive a go-home lesson plus a follow-up check-up lesson.

  • The 4-week program focuses on structure, sit/down consistency, loose-leash walking, and a solid place command. The 6-week option gives us more time to strengthen those skills under distraction and add a more reliable recall.

Online Courses

For owners who need flexibility or want a remote starting point.

  • They are built as a self-paced option, so you can work through the material on your own schedule and revisit lessons whenever you need a refresher.

  • Online Courses are a strong fit if you live outside the service area, need a more flexible format, or want a practical first step before deciding whether you need private coaching later.

Tell us about your dog and we will give you a straight answer.

If your situation does not fit neatly into one of these categories, send a quick note and Tyler will point you in the right direction.
